| Clinical significance: |
BC patients with high circYY1 expression had a poor prognosis; circYY1 might serve as a prognostic biomarker for BC patients |
| Description: |
circYY1 (hsa_circ_0101187), derived from the YY1 gene, is up-regulated in breast cancer tissues/cells and associated with worse patient survival. Functionally, circYY1 promotes malignant phenotypes and glycolysis, and in vivo knockdown suppresses xenograft growth. Mechanistically, circYY1 mainly localizes in the cytoplasm and acts as a ceRNA by sponging miR-769-3p to increase YY1 expression. |
