circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: ARL4C, IRF3, AGO2
Associated microRNA: miR-1306-5p
Biological function: Promotes PDAC cell proliferation, migration, EMT and tumor growth; inhibits apoptosis.
Molecular mechanism: circUHRF1 acts as a miRNA sponge for miR-1306-5p to regulate ARL4C expression; circUHRF1 expression is transcriptionally regulated by IRF3.
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); migration (promotes); EMT (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Actinomycin D / DRB Stability Assay; Nuclear-Cytoplasmic Fractionation; Clinical Sample Validation; Transfection; CCK8; EdU Staining; Colony Formation Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Transwell Assay; Western Blot; RIP (RNA Immunoprecipitation); RNA Pull-Down; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Bioinformatics Analysis; In Vivo Animal Model

Clinical significance:

circUHRF1 is one promising diagnosis or therapeutic target for PDAC management.

Description:

circUHRF1 is up-regulated in PDAC tissues and cell lines and mainly localizes in the cytoplasm. It promotes PDAC proliferation, migration, EMT and tumor growth while inhibiting apoptosis by sponging miR-1306-5p to upregulate ARL4C. Its expression is positively regulated by the transcription factor IRF3.

Confidence score:

0.8279
