Plasma circN4BP2L2 could distinguish EOC from benign ovarian cysts or normal controls and may serve as a diagnostic biomarker, including for early-stage EOC; decreased circN4BP2L2 was associated with advanced stage, worse grade, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis.

Description:

circN4BP2L2 is significantly down-regulated in plasma, tumor tissues, and EOC cell lines, and its decrease is associated with more aggressive clinicopathologic features. Functionally, circN4BP2L2 suppresses EOC cell migration and invasion in vitro and shows diagnostic value (including early-stage EOC) by ROC analysis. A potential circN4BP2L2-miRNA interaction is suggested by prediction software, but the mechanism is not experimentally validated.
