In bladder cancer cells, circ_0023642 acts as a pro-invasive circRNA by sponging miR-490-5p, thereby relieving repression of EGFR and promoting invasion/metastasis. ERalpha suppresses BCa progression by transcriptionally downregulating the host gene UVRAG, which reduces circ_0023642 and activates the miR-490-5p-mediated inhibition of EGFR.
