circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: LPCAT1
Associated microRNA: miR-433-3p
Biological function: Promotes NSCLC cell viability/proliferation, cell cycle progression, migration, invasion, EMT, tumor growth, and metastasis; circZCCHC6 knockdown suppresses these malignant phenotypes.
Molecular mechanism: circZCCHC6 acts as a ceRNA/sponge for miR-433-3p, thereby upregulating LPCAT1 expression and promoting NSCLC progression and EMT.
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); cell cycle (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); EMT (promotes); metastasis (promotes); ceRNA regulation (other)

Detected method:

Validation methods:

RNase R Treatment; RT-qPCR; Northern Blot; Clinical Sample Validation; Transfection; MTT; Cell Cycle Assay; Wound Healing Assay; Transwell Assay; Luciferase Reporter Assay; RNA Pull-Down; RIP (RNA Immunoprecipitation); Western Blot; In Vivo Animal Model; ROC Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

Plasma/serum circZCCHC6 may serve as a diagnostic biomarker for NSCLC; ROC AUC = 0.7895.

Description:

circZCCHC6 is up-regulated in NSCLC serum, tissues, and cell lines and shows diagnostic potential. Functionally, it promotes NSCLC cell proliferation, cell cycle progression, migration, invasion, EMT, and xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, circZCCHC6 sponges miR-433-3p to positively regulate LPCAT1 expression, forming a circZCCHC6/miR-433-3p/LPCAT1 axis.

Confidence score:

0.8324
