Description:

circSMARCA5 is down-regulated in GBM and physically binds the splicing factor SRSF1. By tethering SRSF1, circSMARCA5 modulates VEGFA alternative splicing, reducing the pro-angiogenic/anti-angiogenic VEGFA isoform ratio and associating with lower microvessel density. Higher circSMARCA5 expression indicates better OS/PFS, supporting its prognostic value and potential anti-angiogenic therapeutic relevance in GBM.
