circ-LRP6 expression was significantly correlated with clinical grade and TNM stage, and may act as a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for OSCC.
circ-LRP6 is up-regulated in OSCC tissues and its expression is associated with clinical grade and TNM stage. Functionally, circ-LRP6 promotes OSCC cell migration, invasion, EMT and autophagy, while knockdown of circ-LRP6 suppresses these malignant phenotypes. Mechanistically, autophagy participates in circ-LRP6-mediated EMT, as rapamycin partially rescues the EMT and autophagy inhibition caused by circ-LRP6 silencing.
