circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: P38 MAPK, JAK/STAT, p-p38, p-JAK2, p-STAT1
Associated microRNA: miR-195-5p
Biological function: Promotes proliferation and invasion and tumor growth; inhibits apoptosis in PTC.
Molecular mechanism: Acts as a ceRNA/miRNA sponge for miR-195-5p and modulates P38 MAPK and JAK/STAT signaling (p38/JAK2/STAT1 phosphorylation).
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); invasion (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); MAPK (promotes); JAK/STAT (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Luciferase Reporter Assay; RNA Pull-Down; Bioinformatics Analysis; Transfection; MTT; Transwell Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; In Vivo Animal Model; Western Blot; IHC (Immunohistochemistry); Clinical Sample Validation

Clinical significance:

High CircRNA NRIP1 levels were correlated with advanced PTC stage.

Description:

CircRNA NRIP1 is up-regulated in papillary thyroid carcinoma tissues and cell lines and is associated with advanced stage. It promotes PTC cell proliferation and invasion and inhibits apoptosis by sponging miR-195-5p, thereby activating P38 MAPK and JAK/STAT signaling (increased p-p38, p-JAK2, p-STAT1) and enhancing xenograft tumor growth.

Confidence score:

0.8001
