circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: KLLN
Associated microRNA: miR-92a-2-5p, miR-193a-5p, miR-485-5p, miR-513a-5p, miR-612
Biological function: Inhibits RCC cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis; suppresses tumor growth in vivo.
Molecular mechanism: Acts as a miRNA sponge for miR-92a-2-5p to upregulate KLLN expression (ceRNA mechanism).
Biological pathway or process:

ceRNA regulation (promotes); proliferation (inhibits); apoptosis (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; Clinical Sample Validation; Survival Analysis; Transfection; CCK8; TUNEL; RNA Pull-Down; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Western Blot; In Vivo Animal Model

Clinical significance:

Low circAMOTL1L expression correlates with tumor stage, metastasis, and poor prognosis; low expression associated with lower overall survival rate.

Description:

circAMOTL1L is down-regulated in RCC and functions as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. It acts as a ceRNA sponge for miR-92a-2-5p, relieving repression of KLLN and suppressing RCC growth in vitro and in a 786-O xenograft model. Low circAMOTL1L expression is associated with advanced stage/metastasis and worse survival.

Confidence score:

0.7353
