MPO |
| Associated microRNA: |
miR-877-3p |
| Biological function: |
Activates MPO expression and is involved in the pathogenesis of intracranial aneurysms rupture. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
ceRNA-like regulation where miR-877-3p suppresses circRNA_RanGAP1 and MPO; circRNA_RanGAP1 negatively correlates with miR-877-3p and positively correlates with MPO. |
| Biological pathway or process: |
ceRNA regulation (promotes); inflammation (other) |

| Description: |
circRNA_RanGAP1 is up-regulated in endothelial cells from ruptured intracranial aneurysms and in turbulent-flow-treated HUVECs. It contributes to an MPO-modulating axis (circRNA_RanGAP1/miR-877-3p/MPO), with luciferase and transfection experiments supporting that circRNA_RanGAP1 inversely associates with miR-877-3p and positively regulates MPO expression. |
