circUBAP2 is up-regulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and functions as a pro-tumor circRNA in A549 cells. Silencing circUBAP2 suppresses proliferation and invasion, induces G0/G1 arrest and anoikis/apoptosis, and is linked to reduced JNK/ERK1/2 activity. Mechanistically, circUBAP2 directly binds miR-339-5p, miR-96-3p and miR-135b-3p and affects UBAP2 reporter activity, suggesting a ceRNA-like regulatory role. |
