circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: Rab23
Associated microRNA: miR-362-3p
Biological function: promotes HCC cell proliferation, invasion, and migration; promotes tumor growth in vivo
Molecular mechanism: ceRNA mechanism: circMYLK sponges miR-362-3p to up-regulate Rab23
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); metastasis (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

divergent primers PCR; RT-qPCR; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Transfection; CCK8; Colony Formation Assay; Transwell Assay; Western Blot; Clinical Sample Validation; In Vivo Animal Model; Survival Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

High circMYLK expression was associated with poor prognosis and lower survival rate in HCC patients; correlated with extrahepatic metastasis, intrahepatic metastasis and tumor size

Description:

circMYLK is up-regulated in HCC and promotes proliferation, invasion/migration, and xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, it acts as a ceRNA to sponge miR-362-3p, relieving repression of Rab23 and activating the miR-362-3p/Rab23 axis, and high circMYLK expression associates with poorer patient survival.

Confidence score:

0.7657

Other information
