Hsa_circRNA_102002 (circ_102002; hsa_circ_102002) is up-regulated in papillary thyroid cancer and promotes EMT, migration/invasion and in vivo lung metastasis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-488-3p to relieve repression of HAS2, leading to increased FAK/Akt phosphorylation and EMT marker changes; high expression is associated with poorer overall survival and metastasis.
