In an ox-LDL-induced HUVEC atherosclerosis cell model, circ_0004104 is up-regulated and exacerbates endothelial injury (reduced viability/angiogenesis; increased apoptosis, inflammation, and oxidative stress). Mechanistically, circ_0004104 functions as a ceRNA by sponging miR-328-3p to up-regulate TRIM14, and circ_0004104 knockdown alleviates these dysfunctions.
