Clinical significance:

CircFAT1 is closely associated with poor prognosis; high circFAT1 expression is associated with vascular invasion, lymph node metastasis, advanced stage, worse overall survival and worse disease-free survival.

Description:

CircFAT1 is up-regulated in cervical cancer tissues and cell lines and high expression predicts poor survival. Functionally, circFAT1 promotes proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts as a sponge for miR-409-3p to relieve repression of CDK8 and activate ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK signaling.
