FOXP1, FOXP2, AGGF1, Ago2 |
| Associated microRNA: |
miR-544a, miR-379 |
| Biological function: |
promotes endothelial cell viability, migration, and tube formation (angiogenesis) in glioma-exposed endothelial cells |
| Molecular mechanism: |
Acts as a miRNA sponge in an Ago2/RISC manner to sequester miR-544a and miR-379, thereby increasing FOXP1/FOXP2 and downstream AGGF1; AGGF1 activates PI3K/AKT and ERK1/2 signaling to promote angiogenesis. |

| Description: |
circ-SHKBP1 is up-regulated in glioma microvessels and glioma-exposed endothelial cells and promotes angiogenic phenotypes (viability, migration, tube formation). Mechanistically, it sponges miR-544a and miR-379 (Ago2/RISC-dependent), releasing FOXP1/FOXP2 to transcriptionally upregulate AGGF1, which activates PI3K/AKT and ERK1/2 signaling to drive angiogenesis. |
