Description:

circPTK2 (hsa_circ_0003221), derived from PTK2, is up-regulated in LSCC tissues and cell lines and is associated with advanced clinical stage and lymph-node metastasis. Functionally, circPTK2 promotes proliferation/cell-cycle progression and suppresses apoptosis, and its knockdown inhibits xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, circPTK2 acts as a ceRNA sponging miR-1278 to upregulate YAP1 in LSCC cells.
