Description:

In osteoarthritis cartilage/chondrocytes, circRNF121 is up-regulated and promotes OA progression by increasing ECM degradation, inducing apoptosis, and suppressing proliferation. Mechanistically, circRNF121 acts as a ceRNA that sponges miR-665 to upregulate MYD88 and activate NF-kappaB signaling; its expression is promoted by the transcription factor LEF1.
