| Biological function: |
promotes CRC tumorigenesis, proliferation, invasion/metastasis and stem cell-like phenotype; restricts antitumor immunity |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circREEP3 recruits CHD7 to FKBP10 promoter to activate FKBP10 transcription; promotes RNF125-dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of RIG-1, suppressing RIG-1 signaling and antitumor immunity |

| Clinical significance: |
circREEP3 upregulation predicts poor patient survival; circREEP3 level was increased in CRC tissues and positively correlated with clinical severity, metastasis and prognosis |
| Description: |
circREEP3 is up-regulated in colorectal cancer and its high expression predicts poor survival. Functionally, it promotes CRC proliferation, invasion/metastasis and stemness. Mechanistically, circREEP3 activates FKBP10 transcription by recruiting CHD7 to the FKBP10 promoter and suppresses RIG-1-dependent antitumor immunity by enhancing RNF125-mediated RIG-1 degradation. |
