High circNEIL3 expression was significantly associated with tumor size, TNM stage, and lymph node metastases in HCC patients.
circNEIL3 (hsa_circ_0001459), derived from NEIL3, is up-regulated in HCC tumor tissues and cell lines and mainly localizes to the cytoplasm. It promotes HCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, cell-cycle progression, and in vivo tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, circNEIL3 functions as a ceRNA for miR-3150b-3p to indirectly increase LAMC1 expression, forming a circNEIL3/miR-3150b-3p/LAMC1 regulatory network.
