Description:

circ-HMGCS1 is up-regulated in colon cancer (notably in serum- and cell-derived exosomes) and functions as an oncogenic circRNA. It sponges miR-34a-5p to increase SGPP1, thereby promoting proliferation/viability and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis; sevoflurane suppresses colon cancer progression partly by downregulating this exosome-transmitted circ-HMGCS1/miR-34a-5p/SGPP1 axis.
