circSMARCA5 could be indicated as a biomarker for OS
circSMARCA5 (hsa_circ_0001445) is up-regulated in osteosarcoma cells and functions as an oncogenic circRNA, promoting proliferation, adhesion, migration, and invasion. Mechanistically, the study proposes a CircNet-predicted ceRNA network in which circSMARCA5 sponges multiple miRNAs (e.g., miR-432-5p and miR-181c-3p) and connects to a set of downstream mRNAs, but the miRNA/mRNA interactions were not experimentally validated here.
