In breast cancer, circWWC3 (hsa_circ_0001910) is upregulated and mainly localized in the cytoplasm. It promotes proliferation, migration, invasion, and in vivo growth/metastasis by sponging miR-26b-3p and miR-660-3p, thereby activating the Ras signaling pathway (e.g., increasing EGFR/GRB2/PAK4/MAPK1/AKT1 protein levels). High circWWC3 expression is associated with advanced clinical stage and poor overall survival.
