Description:

circMKLN1 is up-regulated in diabetic retinopathy and in HG/MG-treated hRMECs. It promotes endothelial injury and retinal microvascular dysfunction by sponging miR-26a-5p to enhance Rab11a-mediated autophagic flux, and its inhibition ameliorates vascular leakage and acellular vessels in STZ-induced diabetic mice.
