| Clinical significance: |
Decreased circZNF609 expressions were independently associated with increased risks of CAD; moderate diagnostic value (AUC 0.761). |
| Description: |
circZNF609 (hsa_circ_0000615) is down-regulated in peripheral blood leukocytes from CAD patients and is independently associated with lower CAD risk. Functionally, its overexpression in RAW264.7 macrophages reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-alpha) and increases IL-10, supporting an anti-inflammatory protective role; a ceRNA/miRNA-sponge mechanism was proposed via bioinformatics and literature. |
