High circUHRF1 expression was correlated with poor HCC prognosis, tumor size, microvascular invasion, and independent risk for HCC development.
circUHRF1 is up-regulated in human HCC tissues and cell lines, and high expression is associated with poor prognosis. Functionally, circUHRF1 promotes HCC proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT, and metastasis. Mechanistically, it recruits EIF4A3 to stabilize G9a and UHRF1 mRNAs, leading to PDLIM1 transcriptional inhibition and Hippo-YAP pathway activation.
