Description:

circ_ANRIL is up-regulated in an in vitro cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury model (OGD/R-treated HBMECs) and exacerbates cell injury by suppressing proliferation while promoting apoptosis and inflammatory cytokine secretion. Mechanistically, circ_ANRIL sponges miR-622 and thereby promotes NF-kappaB pathway activation; circ_ANRIL knockdown is protective and this protection is reversed by miR-622 inhibition.
