Description:

Circ-LECRC is a YAP1-derived circRNA that is downregulated in colorectal cancer and acts as a tumor suppressor. It sponges miR-135b-5p to increase KLF4 expression, thereby inhibiting oncogenic YAP1 signalling and reducing proliferation, migration, invasion, tumorigenicity, and lung metastasis while promoting apoptosis. Clinically, higher circ-LECRC expression is associated with lower TNM stage and better survival prognosis.
