CircETFA is up-regulated in HCC tissues/plasma/cells and promotes HCC proliferation, invasion and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it upregulates CCL5 by sponging hsa-miR-612 and by recruiting EIF4A3 to prolong CCL5 mRNA half-life, thereby enhancing PI3K/Akt signaling (including FoxO6). High circETFA is associated with poor overall survival and shows diagnostic potential in plasma. |
