circZNF609 is up-regulated in HCC tissues and cell lines and mainly localizes to the cytoplasm. It promotes proliferation, migration/invasion, EMT and stemness while inhibiting apoptosis by sponging miR-15a-5p/miR-15b-5p, thereby increasing GLI2 expression and activating Hedgehog signaling; knockdown suppresses HCC xenograft growth. |
