| Clinical significance: |
Low venous circSETD3 expression is an independent risk factor of microvascular invasion (MVI) and has predictive ability for MVI in HCC patients before surgery |
| Description: |
This study reports that circSETD3 is down-regulated in peripheral venous blood of HCC patients versus healthy controls and that low venous circSETD3 is associated with invasive clinicopathological features including MVI. Functional assays in Huh7 cells indicate that circSETD3 suppresses migration and invasion, consistent with a tumor-suppressive role, and the study links circSETD3 to a miR-421-related regulatory axis with predictive value for MVI. |
