This study found that exosomal circ-HIPK3 is up-regulated in TMZ-resistant glioma cells and serum exosomes. Functionally, circ-HIPK3 promotes glioma progression, invasion, tumor growth and TMZ resistance while suppressing apoptosis, mainly by sponging miR-421 to increase ZIC5 expression. Serum exosomal circ-HIPK3 was proposed as a potential diagnostic biomarker for TMZ-resistant glioma. |
