Description:

In gastric cancer, hsa_circ_0003159 is down-regulated and acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting proliferation/migration/invasion and promoting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it functions as a ceRNA that sponges miR-223-3p to increase NDRG1 expression, thereby suppressing tumor growth in vitro and in a xenograft model. Low hsa_circ_0003159 expression correlates with worse OS and DFS.
