circFMN2 expression was associated with tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, and Gleason score; PC-EVs-derived circFMN2 may serve as a potential diagnostic and therapeutic molecular target.
circFMN2 is upregulated in prostatic cancer tissues and cell lines and is shuttled between PC cells by tumor-derived extracellular vesicles. It promotes proliferation, invasion, migration, tumor growth, and lung/liver metastasis by binding HuR, reducing HuR-mediated KLF2 mRNA stability, and repressing the KLF2/RNF128 transcriptional axis. Clinically, higher circFMN2 expression correlates with tumor stage, lymph-node metastasis, and Gleason score.
