circ_NRIP1 is overexpressed in BTC tissues and cells and is associated with advanced disease features and poor overall survival. Functionally, circ_NRIP1 promotes proliferation, invasion, migration, stemness, EMT, xenograft growth, and metastasis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-515-5p to upregulate AKT2 and activate the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.
