CircABCB1 is up-regulated in breast cancer, particularly in docetaxel-resistant breast cancer tissues and cells. Functionally, circABCB1 promotes docetaxel resistance, viability, migration and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis, at least partly by sponging miR-153-3p. Clinically, high circABCB1 expression is associated with metastasis and poorer time to treatment failure, suggesting value as a marker of docetaxel resistance. |
