Exosomal circ 0070396 may be a potential diagnostic biomarker for HCC detection and management; it distinguished HCC from healthy donors, chronic hepatitis B and cirrhosis, and was correlated with tumor size, BCLC stages and encapsulation invasion. |
| Description: |
This study identified plasma exosomal hsa_circ_0070396/circ 0070396 as significantly elevated in HCC and validated its circular form and expression by qRT-PCR, RNase R treatment and Sanger sequencing. Exosomal circ 0070396 showed diagnostic value for distinguishing HCC from healthy donors and non-HCC liver disease controls, and its combination with AFP improved diagnostic performance. Higher exosomal circ 0070396 expression was associated with HCC progression-related features including tumor size, BCLC stages and encapsulation invasion. |
