Description:

circGLIS3 is an up-regulated circRNA in NSCLC tissues and cell lines and is associated with larger tumor size, lymphatic metastasis, later TNM stage, and shorter overall survival. It promotes NSCLC proliferation, migration, invasion, tumor growth and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, circGLIS3 functions as a miRNA sponge and forms a positive feedback loop with miR-644a and PTBP1, in which circGLIS3 increases PTBP1 expression via miR-644a and PTBP1 enhances circGLIS3 circularization.
