Description:

circFAT1(e2), also identified as hsa_circ_0001461, is a FAT1-derived circular RNA that is downregulated in gastric cancer tissues and cell lines. It functions as a tumor suppressor by sponging miR-548g to upregulate RUNX1 in the cytoplasm and by directly interacting with YBX1 in the nucleus, thereby suppressing proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft tumor growth. Higher circFAT1(e2) expression is associated with better prognosis in GC patients.
