CircAGO2 is upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues and cell lines and is associated with advanced TNM stage and poorer overall survival. Functionally, circAGO2 promotes CRC cell proliferation, invasion, xenograft tumor growth, and micro-angiogenesis. Mechanistically, circAGO2 sponges miR-1-3p to increase RBBP4 expression, leading to reduced HSPB8 transcription through H3K27ac-related histone deacetylation.
