circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: TREM2
Associated microRNA: miR-205-5p
Biological function: Promotes M2 macrophage polarization and promotes LUAD cell proliferation, migration, invasion/metastasis.
Molecular mechanism: Exosomal circ_0001715 acts as a miRNA sponge for miR-205-5p, thereby upregulating TREM2 to enhance M2 macrophage polarization and promote LUAD progression.
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); metastasis (promotes); macrophage polarization (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; Transfection; Flow Cytometry(Non-apoptosis/cycle); CCK8; EdU Staining; Colony Formation Assay; Transwell Assay; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Western Blot; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

-

Description:

In LUAD cell-macrophage coculture, tumor-derived exosomal circ_0001715 promotes M2 macrophage polarization and thereby enhances LUAD cell proliferation, migration, and invasion/metastasis. Mechanistically, circ_0001715 sponges miR-205-5p to de-repress/positively regulate TREM2, and TREM2 is required for the exosomal circ_0001715 effects.

Confidence score:

0.5634

Other information
