Higher circ_0000591 expression levels were associated with shorter overall survival in OS patients.
hsa_circ_0000591/circ_0000591 is up-regulated in osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines, and high expression is associated with shorter overall survival. Functionally, it promotes OS proliferation, invasion, glycolysis, and xenograft growth while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, circ_0000591 acts as a cytoplasmic miR-194-5p sponge to elevate HK2 expression, thereby driving OS progression and glycolysis.
