circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: SOCS3
Associated microRNA: miR-221-3p
Biological function: circANKRD28 overexpression inhibits DDP resistance, proliferation, colony formation, invasion, migration and tumor growth, and promotes apoptosis in DDP-resistant NSCLC cells.
Molecular mechanism: circANKRD28 acts as a molecular sponge for miR-221-3p and regulates tumor cell progression and DDP sensitivity through the miR-221-3p/SOCS3 axis.
Biological pathway or process:

ceRNA regulation (other); proliferation (inhibits); migration (inhibits); invasion (inhibits); apoptosis (promotes); chemoresistance (inhibits); drug resistance (inhibits)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RNase R Treatment; Sanger Sequencing; Actinomycin D / DRB Stability Assay; RT-qPCR; FISH / smFISH; Clinical Sample Validation; RNA Pull-Down; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Transfection; CCK8; Colony Formation Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Transwell Assay; Wound Healing Assay; Western Blot; In Vivo Animal Model; ROC Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

circANKRD28 had high diagnostic and prognostic values in NSCLC; its expression level was associated with DDP resistance, depth of invasion and differentiation.

Description:

circANKRD28 is downregulated in NSCLC, especially in DDP-resistant tissues and cells. Its overexpression suppresses malignant phenotypes and cisplatin resistance by sponging miR-221-3p and relieving repression of SOCS3, thereby increasing DDP sensitivity in vitro and in vivo.

Confidence score:

0.8571
