Description:

circIST1 is up-regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma and predicts poorer survival. METTL3-dependent m6A modification stabilizes circIST1, which mainly localizes to the cytoplasm and promotes HCC proliferation/migration/invasion while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, circIST1 acts as a ceRNA to sponge miR-140-3p and miR-182, derepressing HIF-1alpha and enhancing HIF-1alpha-driven aerobic glycolysis.
