Description:

circ-SHPRH is a human SHPRH-derived circular RNA that is down-regulated in glioblastoma. It encodes the 17 kDa protein SHPRH-146aa, which suppresses glioblastoma cell proliferation and tumorigenicity by protecting full-length SHPRH from ubiquitin-proteasome degradation and promoting SHPRH-mediated PCNA ubiquitination. Higher expression of the encoded SHPRH-146aa is associated with longer survival in glioblastoma patients.
