circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: HNRNPR
Associated microRNA: -
Biological function: promotes LUAD cell proliferation, migration, and invasion; promotes metastasis
Molecular mechanism: exosomal transfer from hypoxic to normoxic LUAD cells; binds to HNRNPR and upregulates HNRNPR expression; drives metastatic phenotypes
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); metastasis (promotes); other pathway/process (other)

Detected method:

Validation methods:

Microarray; Bioinformatics Analysis; RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; ISH (In Situ Hybridization); RNA Pull-Down; Western Blot; RIP (RNA Immunoprecipitation); Transfection; CCK8; Transwell Assay; Wound Healing Assay; IF (Immunofluorescence); Clinical Sample Validation; Survival Analysis

Clinical significance:

High circ-UBR5 expression correlates with advanced tumor stages and significantly reduced 5-year survival in LUAD patients.

Description:

circ-UBR5 is enriched in hypoxia-induced LUAD exosomes and is upregulated in LUAD tumor tissue. After exosomal transfer to recipient normoxic LUAD cells, circ-UBR5 localizes to the nucleus, binds and upregulates HNRNPR, and promotes proliferation, migration/invasion and metastatic phenotypes. High circ-UBR5 expression is associated with advanced stage and poorer overall survival.

Confidence score:

0.8252
