Higher ciRS-7 expression was associated with higher clinical stage, infiltration, and lymph node metastasis in LSCC patients.
ciRS-7 is up-regulated in LSCC tissues and cell lines and is associated with advanced clinical stage, infiltration, and lymph node metastasis. Functionally, ciRS-7 promotes LSCC cell viability, migration, invasion, EMT, and xenograft tumor growth while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, ciRS-7 sponges miR-432-5p to increase DNMT3B expression, leading to TGM3 hypermethylation and suppression.
