Bax, Bcl-2 |
| Associated microRNA: |
miR-513b-5p |
| Biological function: |
circ_UHRF1 promotes malignant behaviors of lung cancer cells, including proliferation, migration and invasion, and inhibits apoptosis; knockdown of circ_UHRF1 inhibits proliferation, migration and invasion and promotes apoptosis of A549 cells. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circ_UHRF1 targets and negatively regulates miR-513b-5p; Solanum lyratum polysaccharide may inhibit malignant behavior of lung cancer cells by targeting circ_UHRF1 to up-regulate miR-513b-5p. |
| Biological pathway or process: |

| Clinical significance: |
circ_UHRF1 is a potential molecular target for lung cancer treatment. |
| Description: |
circ_UHRF1 is up-regulated in lung cancer tissues and functions as a pro-tumor circRNA in A549 lung cancer cells. Knockdown of circ_UHRF1 inhibits proliferation, migration and invasion, promotes apoptosis, increases Bax and decreases Bcl-2. The study suggests that Solanum lyratum polysaccharide suppresses lung cancer cell malignant behavior by down-regulating circ_UHRF1 and thereby increasing miR-513b-5p through the circ_UHRF1/miR-513b-5p axis. |
