Description:

CircSETDB1 is up-regulated in paclitaxel-resistant ovarian cancer tissues and cells and high expression is associated with poor prognosis. Functionally, circSETDB1 promotes paclitaxel resistance, proliferation and cell-cycle progression while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, it functions as a cytoplasmic miR-508-3p sponge to increase ABCC1 expression, forming a circSETDB1/miR-508-3p/ABCC1 axis that contributes to paclitaxel resistance.
