Description:

circGPC3 is upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma and promotes proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT-like changes, and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. It functions mainly as a ceRNA by sponging miR-578 to increase expression of the downstream targets RAB7A and PSME3, and high circGPC3 expression is associated with worse overall survival.
